Our Schools

We can describe our approach, or we can point to what it has produced. Three schools, built and run directly by Phynai — we employ the teachers ourselves.

That progression figure matters more than the enrolment one: enrolment is the easier number to report, and progression is the harder, more honest measure of whether a school is actually working.

Where they are

In Baruten, Kwara State, and Atisbo, Oyo State.

Three schools is a modest number. We are stating it plainly, ahead of any ask to help fund a fourth.

What keeps children in school

Alongside the three schools, these are the named projects aimed specifically at keeping rural children, and rural girls in particular, in school.

Pad a Rural Girl

Menstrual hygiene support for girls in and around our schools. Lack of access to sanitary products is one of the most common, and most fixable, reasons girls miss school days or leave school altogether once they reach puberty.

Goal: every girl deserves the opportunity to learn without interruption.

Feed a School Child

For many children, hunger is one of the greatest barriers to learning. Feed a School Child provides nutritious meals within our community schools, improving attendance, concentration, health, and academic performance.

Goal: no child should have to choose between hunger and education.

Bridge a Girl to School

Too many girls remain out of school because of poverty, distance, social barriers, or a lack of educational support. Bridge a Girl to School provides educational assistance, learning materials, and school support that enable girls to enrol, remain in school, and complete their education.

Goal: every rural girl deserves access to quality education.
